Patent Preliminary Research:

Before the patent application is filed, preliminary search is carried out in order to determine whether the invention is new and whether it contains an inventive step. Considering that the registration of a patent is a long and costly process, the importance of the preliminary search service performed by experts is better understood. As a result of the preliminary patent search, the detection of an earlier dated patent document will prevent the applicant from losing time and money. In addition, the previous patent documents can be a resource for the applicant in the R&D process, since they explain similar solutions about the invention.

Preparation of Specification and Claims:

The description is a text that explains all the technical details of the invention in a form and clarity that can be understood by an expert in the art. On the other hand, the claims determine the scope of the protection provided by the patent. Incorrect writing of the description, especially the claims, may cause the application not to be registered or registered with a narrower scope of protection. Preparing Opinions for Search and Examination Reports:

Turkish Patent and Trademark Office issues Search and Examination Reports for the application / invention. These reports contain reference patents / documents and justifications that may prevent the registration of patent application. Applicant has right to file a reply against these reports and amend the claims or other parts of the application. These responses / amendments play an important role in making decision for patentability.

Payment of Annual Fees: Annual fees must be paid every year during the life time of patents & utility models. We follow the deadlines and pay the annuities in due course.
